  • Benefit for St. Jude’s

    Bethel University’s Renaissance Quartet and Bluegrass Quartet will present an evening of gospel music at Huntingdon Missionary Baptist Church March 2 at 7 p.m. There is no admission charge, but an offering will be taken to benefit St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

    The Carroll County Soil District will celebrate Arbor Day by giving away tree seedlings to Carroll County landowners on March 3 at the USDA Service Center, located at 630 High Street, Huntingdon. Bald cypress, native pecan, hybrid chestnut, beautyberry, and white Christmas pine will be given away on a first come, first serve basis from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Landowners may take three species of their choice while supplies last.

  • Very Special Arts Festival

    The Carroll County Very Special Arts Festival will be held March 18 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Carroll County Civic Center. Participants are needed to provide arts and crafts booths for the children of Carroll County.   • HHS BBQ Sale

    The 2017 Huntingdon High School Project Graduation is sponsoring a BBQ sale and bake sale on March 25 at 8 a.m. on the grounds of Huntingdon Wal-Mart. There will be BBQ plates and sandwiches and chips for sale, along with a variety of baked goods.

    Greater Enon Baptist Church will have a youth series March 27-29, starting at 7 p.m. The theme is “Young Soldiers Using Praise as Their Weapon.” Rev. Ryan Anderson of Overflow, Minister Tommy Bond of St. John, and Rev. Reginald Boyce of Riverside Baptist in Memphis will be the speakers.
