On Feb. 3, two first-degree murder warrants were issued in the Houston Dewayne Brown murder case by the Huntingdon Police Department.
Charged were Larry D. Golden, 23, of Huntingdon and Jermaine E. Crawford, 34, of Olean, New York.
Both Golden and Crawford were taken into custody in Olean, New York on Feb. 4 around 6:50 p.m. Central Standard Time.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information in the case should call the Huntingdon Police department at 731-986-5310.
Brown, 26, of 328 Hunt St. died at Baptist Memorial Hospital after being taken shot on Feb. 2 at his residence. He was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle.
A caller at a nearby residence on McCall St. called the police department at 11:54 p.m. concerning gunshots and someone screaming.
In a statement issued by Capt. Johnny Hill since the arrests of the two suspects, he thanked all the people who have come forward with information in the case.
“We would also like to thank all the agencies who assisted in the investigation and arrest: the U.S. Marshal’s Service, Carroll County Sheriff’s Department, McKenzie Police Department, Olean, New York Police Dept., the 24th Judicial District Attorney General’s Office, the 24th Judicial Drug Task Force and many others who assisted in looking for these two people,” said Hill. “When law enforcement agencies work together as they have in this case, we can make all of our communities a safer place to live.”
