Vivian Lucille White, 89, of Huntingdon passed away Sunday, April 9 at Lakeside Senior Living in McKenzie. Funeral services were held April 12 in the chapel of Chase Funeral Home, with Bro. Mike Bowers officiating. Burial followed at Long Rock Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Aaron Allen, Josh White, Jeff White, Timmy White, David White, and Justin White.
Mrs. White was born November 3, 1927 in the Big Buck Community to the late Lee Roy and Myrtle (Patterson) Forrest. She retired from Publix Shirt Factory as a seamstress and also had worked part-time at the Huntingdon School cafeteria. She accepted Jesus as her personal savior in October 1954 and taught children Sunday school class at First Baptist Church for many years. At the surrendering of Jesus’ call, she was one of the original members of the mission work to establish Eastview Baptist Church and was active in the church until she was unable to attend due to her health. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Jamie Eugene White; and two brothers, Homer Forrest and Hulon Forrest.
She is survived by a daughter, Phyllis (David) Williams; a son, Phillip (Charlotte) White, both of Huntingdon; a brother, Elvis Ray Forrest of Big Bu k; five grandchildren, Denis (Wes) Baumgartner, Arley (Aaron) Allen, Kevin (Lisa) Simmons, Justin White, and Nena (David) Stebbins; and eight great-grandchildren, Alyssa Simmons, Madison Simmons, Clinton Simmons, Olivia Stebbins, Sawyer Stebbins, Applee Baumgartner, Vivian Baumgartner, and Jessie Baumgartner.
