Wylie Junior Pearson, 71, of Huntingdon passed away Wednesday, September 28 at his home. Funeral services were held October 1 in the chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Burial followed at Carroll Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Lee Moore officiating.
Mr. Pearson was born April 25, 1945 in Lexington and was raised by the late Ike and Myrtle Melton. He was a retired mechanic supervisor for Dupont and was also retired from the Army National Huard. Eh was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Joyce Pearson; one brother, Jimmy Pearson; and three sisters, Shirley Floyd, Zuela Buck, and Jerri Melton.
He is survived by two daughters, Sherry (Ken) Glatzer of Lakeland and Toni Pearson of Huntingdon; five grandchildren, Kayla Carter, Kattie Simon, Kelsey Hollingsworth, Kennedy Glatzer, and Jared Glatzer; and four great-grandchildren, Olivia Carter, K担hun Carter, Drelyn Carter, and Londyn Carter.
Pallbearers were Ken Glatzer, Johnny Pearson, Kiley Pearson, Kade Pearson, Konnor Pearson, Kelby Pearson, and Jared Glatzer. Honorary pallbearers were K担hun Carter, Derlyn Carter, James Hicks, Houston Christian, Sam Bailey, and Ricky Umstead.
