Betty Jean Gullett Lindsey, 89, of Camden, passed away Saturday, Sept. 3, at Camden General Hospital. Graveside services were held Saturday, Sept. 10, at Chalk Hill Cemetery with Lawrence Phifer officiating. Plunk Funeral Home of Camden was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Lindsey was born Feb. 22, 1927, in Benton County, to the late Lawrence Gullett and Ophelia Melton Gullett. She was a retired registered nurse and a member of Eastside Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Richard G. Lindsey, and nine siblings, Mabel Reesey, Ruth Poe, Ethel Bell, Pearl Gann, Blanche Hollingsworth, Marie Cochran, Joe and John Gullett and Mildred Hixson.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Marvin Lindsey; two daughters, Andrea Lindsey, of Nashville, and Brenda (Tim) Ingham, of Dickson; a daughter-in-law, Linda Lindsey Whiteley, of Madison, Ala.; three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
